| Chaim B. Colen, M.D., Ph.D. is our Executive Editor and the founder of Colen Publishing.
Dr. Chaim Colen is a graduate from the Wayne State University, Michigan Neurosurgery Program. His interests include; reading, writing, neurosurgical-oncology, and research in malignant glioma among many other interests.
His research in brain tumors (malignant glioma) has earned him the Robert V. Dantos Cancer Memorial Award for two consecutive years and the Michigan Association of Neurological Surgeons Award for best basic science research for three consecutive years. His interest in medical history led to the Vesalius Award winning paper Charles Edouard Brown-Sequard: "an eccentric genius" at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has won multiple other awards as well for his educational productivity in Neurosurgical Education -the Colen Flash-Review: Neurosurgery (review flashcards for the neurosurgical written board examination) and Operative Flash-Dictation: Neurosurgery (operative dictation templates for neurosurgeons).
Dr. Colen's productivity lead to his induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society as a 3rd year medical student and later for his humanistic efforts and devotion to patients he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society as a neurosurgery resident. Furthermore, he is an active member of both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. | Roxanne E. Colen, B.S., M.S., PA-C is our Assistant Editor and cofounder of Colen Publishing. She is a board member and the CME coordinator. She also oversees the Flashcard division and all related educational material.
Mrs. Colen is a graduate from the Physician Assistant Program at the Wayne State University, Michigan. Her interests include emergency medicine, radiology, reading, writing, teaching and editorial assistance. She seeks to increase educational awareness of neurosurgery to the physician assistant community. In addition, Roxanne oversees our Learning Center and has a special interest in patient education. She has co-authored several patient-oriented surgical brochures.
Roxanne is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and is board certified.

| Katie Anderson, B.A., is our Assistant
Editor at Colen Publishing. As a junior staff member, Katie is
responsible for the editorial direction of various Colen Publishing
educational materials. Katie also officiates as a sales representative
for Colen Publishing's iPhone applications, Medi-DVDs, and assorted
other products.
Katie graduated with high honors from Michigan
State University where she earned a BA in psychology and cultivated a
particular interest in adolescent sleep cycles and personality. She
went on to pursue a master's degree in Educational Psychology at the
University of Manchester in England and is in the process of fielding a
study to examine the links between adolescent sleep cycles and
personality more closely. Her time in Manchester also sparked a pointed
interest in writing, which attracted her to the editorial role at Colen
Publishing.
By ensuring the effectual presentation of
educational materials at Colen Publishing, Katie hopes to increase the
awareness of patients and health care professionals in the field of
neurosurgery.
